Matthews, NC – The Town of Matthews today announced it is seeking applicants for a newly established Airport Community Roundtable (ACR). The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requested the Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) organize the ACR to seek input from the community on airport-related noise impacts and weigh in on solutions regarding aircraft operating procedures at CLT.

The ACR has requested a resident of Matthews participate in the meetings. The next meeting is scheduled for July 12 at the CLT Center located at 5601 Wilkinson Boulevard in Charlotte. The first meeting was held earlier this month.

Residents of Matthews interested in serving on the ACR are asked to complete this application and email it to Maureen Keith at mkeith@matthewsnc.gov. Members will be selected by an Airport selection panel with preference given to residents with prior noise complaints filed with the Airport. Technical aviation industry knowledge will not be considered as selection criteria. For more information about the ACR, please read this
FAQ document.

ACR Mission Statement: To provide the City of Charlotte Aviation Department and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with broad-based community input into airport-related noise impacts and to find, where possible, practical solutions and recommendations for the FAA to consider when determining aircraft operating procedures at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
