Armed Robbery - 10508 Monroe Rd.

On Friday, January 11, 2019, at approximately 5:14 a.m., Matthews officers responded to a report of a robbery in the parking lot of 10508 Monroe Rd.  The victim told officers that she was sitting in her vehicle in the parking lot, when two men approached her car, one on each side.  The suspect on the driver’s side was holding a gun and demanded that she roll down her window.  The suspect on the passenger’s side opened the passenger door and started removing items from the car.  The suspect on the driver’s side then forcibly removed the victim’s jewelry.  There were no reported injuries from this incident.

The suspects were described as:

Suspect 1: Black male, approximately 6’00” tall, with long braided hair (Dreads).

Suspect 2: Male of unknown race.

Both suspects were last seen fleeing on foot towards Monroe Rd.
