Starting on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, (Records office will be closed on 01/20 for MLK Day) the front lobby and Records Division office of the Matthews Police Department will begin receiving a much-needed face-lift.  This area will have no public access during the entire project which is expected to take between 6-8 weeks.  However, with the exception of our Medicine Drop Program, we will continue to provide all of our current services for any walk-in needs.  To request these services during renovations, please use the intercom that is temporarily mounted outside to the right of our front door (See pictures for example).  Whether it is a records request, you need to speak to an officer or making a delivery, please press the call button on the intercom and a police department representative will help you as soon as possible.

Medicine Drop Program – Due to the lack of public access to our dropbox during this project, we will be suspending our collection program until the completion of these renovations.  Please refer to the provided link below for a list of other area facilities that can accommodate your medicine drop needs during this time.
