Call For Artists is open through January 15, 2020. We are seeking artists to design and install a mural on a crosswalk by the McDowell Arts Center. More info can be found HERE.
Holiday Tickets go on sale Friday, November 1 at 9am. Tickets can be purchased online HERE, in person at the Matthews Community Center or by calling 704-321-7275. All of these events are held at the Matthews Community Center, and there are no refunds for these tickets.

Crews Family Fun Night (1st Friday Oct-March; except Feb; 6-9pm):
Family Fun Night at Crews (1201 Crews Road, Matthews, NC 28105) returns with a fun-filled lineup of activities and entertainment including mini golf, laser tag, glow in the dark dodgeball and newly added Professional Wrestling. Light refreshments will be provided at all Family Fun Night events. Events are completely FREE with the exception of the Professional Wrestling Night. Click on the flyer to register!

The greenway is open at all times except during floods or repairs.

Our Mission: The Matthews Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resource Department will preserve and enhance the quality of life with dynamic and accessible programs, facilities, services and the promotion of tourism. The department strives to create a strong sense of community through individual, environmental, social and economic impacts. Established in 1995, the department offers a wide variety of service, leisure programs, activities and opportunities for individuals of all ages and abilities. Park facilities, greenways and open space also provide recreational opportunities for citizens and surrounding communities.
